Hi everybody! Welcome to the new forum..well I like to think of it more like a place where you may speak more freely without hurting people. And speak about the evils of long term treatments without having to get into a battle over your views.... My only rule is try not be a fucking lunatic and act somewhat civil. I dont mind some insanity..I find it quite amusing, but please restrain from vicious antagonistic posting.. Just think of others. I am trying to give the world a taste of raw reality, without getting too raw so its all somewhat credible.
This is a place to get off maintenance drugs, and other substances when people are ready. If you are a pro-maintenance drug advocate, then you are at the wrong site! People make a decision to stop maintenance, or are stuck on maintenance and we try to support them in that decision and help people get off these drugs. If maintenance is still working for you, and you have no intentions of ever stopping; or if you are a Methadone or Buprenorphine (Suboxone) Advocate then......YOU ARE AT THE WRONG SITE!! Those of us on this site have already bought into the fantasy & the denial that Maintenance is the way out. Please do not attempt to sell us the same line twice. We're not buying it. We're not in that market. Spare your comments and crusades for sites that will allow you to convert other people into your world of excuses. People are here seeking help to get OFF these drugs, NOT to hear how great you think they are. We are here to help people break the chains of these addictive substances and any comments to the contrary will probably be moved to the War Zone section of this forum because we do, in fact, consider it a war of sorts. Please read the site intentions carefully before posting. In effect, those of us on this site have been there.done that. And now, we look to assist others in detoxing and staying clean.
